The Return of Cappuccino Zine

Greetings, Coffee Club! It's been a hot minute since we last caught up - a full two years to be precise. But fear not, we are back in the game, and we can't wait to whisk you away to the wonderful world of Cappuccino Zine. We're revving things up in Earth Month, which means dedicating an entire month to saving our beloved planet. It's a noble cause that the rest of the year seems to forget about, but who can blame them? We're talking about the same species that apply for jobs, complain when they get them and call watching Netflix series living

Interesting how when many of us were younger, 2023 seemed ages away. We pictured robots and flying cars, and while we're not too far off, we'd argue that there's room for improvement.

But first, let's start with ourselves, shall we? As much as we loved Cappuccino as a pandemic project, we admit that we could have been more structured. This time around, we're tackling sustainability head-on and exploring the intersectionality of the fashion industry. Don't fret if those words are a mouthful; we'll break it down for you in our upcoming blog posts. Some might find these topics taboo or even triggering, but we at Cappuccino Zine are all about diving into the deep end, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. You already know that we love creating a splash.

Let us clarify one thing: the fashion industry is captivating. From the opulence of jewels and sequins to the grandeur of runway shows and the models who grace them, the industry is a spectacle to behold. Whether it is our beloved Nepo babies dismissing their parents' influence on their success, or fashion brands like H&M collaborating with celebrities to produce designs that echo the random musings on Forever 21 T-shirts, the fashion industry never ceases to amaze us. However, this industry's beauty is marred by the knowledge of how and where clothes are produced, and more crucially, by whom.

In the coming months, we'll delve into the very foundation of fashion by deciphering critical terms like "sustainable fashion." Don't be fooled, a thrift haul won't make the cut for this category. We'll also dish on accessible and size-inclusive brands that we've tested and approved ourselves. Expect riveting reviews and tips on how to dress sustainably without breaking the bank. We can hardly contain our excitement to say our second favorite F-word.  Make sure to follow us on Instagram, sign up to the mailing list or get involved with our project to be in the know.

We love having you here, and if you've been here since Day 1, we appreciate you more than you know.

Love you a latte,

The Cappuccino Team
